How Vision Impacts Learning
Up to 80% of learning is visual. A visual problem will affect an individual’s ability to learn and develop. The skills required for effective learning include a variety of visual efficiency skills. Just because you can see clearly does not mean that you are seeing efficiently. Our eyes send visual information to our brain to be processed for interpretation. Efficient visual processing skills allow our brain to make the best decisions. Vision is how we engage in the world around us. Visual processing skills are structural necessities for all areas of life, especially learning. Everyone has the ability to learn new things but not everyone achieves their full potential if there are cracks in the foundation. An individual may not be aware of these cracks, which leads to visual struggles.
Take our symptom checklist to find out if you have any cracks in your visual foundation!
The best way to evaluate visual efficiency skills is by scheduling a Functional Vision Assessment with our Developmental Optometrist, Dr. Logan Lineberry.
